do any of you think that all phones should be illegal and cut off?
i personaly think that they shouldnt
I think there are more dangerous things people do in their cars than using a cell phone (hands free, of course). Some studies show that EATING in the car can cause more accidents than talking, either on the phone or to a passenger. However, there ARE people with cognitive and spatial disorders, more common than you think, who really shouldn't attempt to drive and talk. They should remain focused on doing one thing only. So, short answer: NO, I don't think talking while driving should be illegal but it should definitely be hands-free and drivers need to exercise common sense. You know who you are! If you are easily distracted while driving, turn off the damned phone.
