1996 Nissan Maxima - Radiator question...
There is a tiny tiny crack in the top of the radiator and it's leaking. It had a VERY small bit of white smoke coming from it.
So I used AlumaSeal Stop Leak and it's still leaking. Would JB Welding or something like that work to seal the crack?? Or should I just go ahead and order a new radiator?
I don't want to keep trying different types of Stop Leak because I don't want to screw up the water pump.
Hey Budd IF there is a wrecking yard close to you pick up a used radiator from a car that has been rearended or side swiped. AS long as the rad is in good condition you will get it for a lot cheaper than going to a dealer or buying brand new and O yea you need a RAD.. welding doesn't always produce 100% results especially if your using any type of antifreeze Good luck
Thank you. I will call around and see if anyone has a 96 Maxima at one of these junk yards.
