    You know auto racing is one of the most popular sports in the world, right? Have you seen anything bigger than indy 500? Stadiumwise, 'cause SB, olympics and WC have more tv viewers.

    that is were the series they race in comes in with there rules they try to keep the playing field even and costs down by making all the cars using the same parts racing is not a cheap sport but at least a guy can build a car in his garage and compete with a guy that has deep pockets.racing is not a cheap sport so if you dont have money you cant race .you do not want to wreak your car

    For anyone in the UK I wholely recommend 'Formula Student'

    A free event for University Motor racing teams run at the legendary Silverstone Motor Racing circuit every October

    You get to see all aspects and mingle through the pit lanes, meet the organisation

    It's a great way to see motorsport in action
