No acceleration power!! What to do?
I have a 1993 get prizm and it has suddenly lost all acceleration power!! What are the most likely culprits I should check first....

I would check,oil first.Also check clogged fuel filter or lines.Transmission might also be culprit if it sounds like it is not switching into gear.Also check spark plugs and wires.
if there is a check engine light it could be a sensor auto parts store can check codes and give you a generalized idea of where problem is.
Thank you for giving me an idea of where to start! I am pretty sure it's not a fuel problem and i didn't notice any problems when shifting gears nor is the engine light on. But I will check plugs and wires before considering a bad distributor...

How do you make engine valve tapping stop?I was told my oil level was low, and even after an oil change and normal oil levels, it still mak the tapping noise. Is there anything I can do (short of a new engine) that will make the tapping noise stop???

How often should you check your car oil?I do mine weekly but I have friends that do every month or two. I feel that is too long and a replacement engine is costly.
