How do I stop my brakes from squeaking?
The brakes on my van are good and are less than a year old. The first time it rained after they were changed, they started squeaking intermittently. Now they actually screech every time I brake. It's driving me nuts!
They weren't changed at a shop. A trusted friend who is no longer available did it for me.
* Replace with high quality ceramic pads
* Make sure the pad shims are greased
* Make sure that if the rotors have been cut, that the metal shavings have been washed off
Yes change the brake pads rather than hearing the squeaks
You should get them replaced by wet brakes available in market, these brakes constitutes some fluid in section where friction is caused. It will reduce almost all the noise stressing you while applying brakes.

just had brakes changed and rotors turned on 2005 dodge ram 1500,driver side caliper sticking,...then replaced it and new one is also sticking what could be problem?
