Hello I just bought a 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan.
Sometimes when I'm driving all of a sudden I'm pushing on gas pedal but the van is not moving just engine reves. I will put it it neutral wait a minute then throw it in drive..then it catches. Please tell me I don't need a transmission....I know the person I bought it from and they had it for 3 years and it's always done this since they bought it.
Sounds like the owners who had the car originally (2003 through 2013 apparently) unloaded it before THEY had to put in a new or replacement transmission. When you're contemplating such expenditures, especially on a 13-year-old vehicle, it probably would pay to have it checked over by a reliable auto mechanic who could give you an estimate of the damage and cost of repair. Good luck!
