Do you feel comfortable with the idea of driverless or autonomous cars?

I am not sure yet. I imagine it will work with a Map Quest capability with begin and destination location. Maybe with voice recognition for those inputs? Actually I have many questions.

Remote controlled or not, there should be someone sitting in the front seat in case of problems and to accept any responsibilities should traffic hazards occur.

I think I'll be comfortable with it in a couple more years, after some more testing is done. I know a lot of people don't like the idea of giving up control, but I'm more than ready to not have to be the one physically driving.

At this point said driverless cars are to have human to take over if need be. That's why have eye camera to make sure you don't fall asleep - yet I don't see how that would help with road hypnosis.

Just the thought of this makes me think of other scenarios. Tanks and Humvees in battle. Bye bye drivers in Nascar and Formula Ones.
Teaching a child to bike ride?
    Long haul double trailer semis?
    For sure trains.
    School buses?
    Motorcycles?

Would a malfunction caused wreck be a DUI?
Hacking would really make it interesting.

Well, time to return to reality for now.

Yup. Where will it begin and where will it end. I read somewhere the lines in the roads must be distinct. I pondered a main street here in Escondido that was repaved and no lines for 2 months. I will read Ptosis article later today.
