I want to know your opinion on Extended Car/Truck Warranty or Extended Service Contracts? What do you think?

If the additional expense won't cut into your necessities, but gives you a satisfactory boost in peace of mind, then go ahead and buy it.

Thanks for the answer! Do you use an aftermarket / extended warranty?

No. I don't own an automobile these days. But I used to be a salesman at a Ford dealership.

No, don't do it. They price these warranties so that they collect far more in premiums than they ever pay out. The average is 70%.
Keep the money, save it as part of your emergency fund, so you can pay for repairs if and when they arise.

I have seen some warranties with an unlimited claim amount, if I plan to keep my car for a long time then would a warranty help?
