Many American’s I’ve spoken with in the past find the European’s obsession with roundabouts weird; as did my Australian cousins when they visited us a couple of years ago, especially the mini & double mini-roundabouts.

The question is not just your views of roundabouts in general, but also what are your thoughts on ‘The Magic Roundabout’ in Swindon, England, and other types of roundabouts e.g. the double mini roundabout that’s so common in Britain.

And there I was with a vision of a childhood tv programme! I used to find the 'priorite a droite' roundabouts amusing in France in my youth.

Yep, I remember “The Magic Roundabout” the children’s TV programme; originally a French ‘stop motion animation’ called “Le Manège enchanté”, broadcasted in France from 1964 to 1974; and re- scripted by the BBC for broadcast on British TV from 1965 to 1977.

From Americans I’ve spoken with previously, I got the impression that this TV Series never reached the American shores?  So it would be interesting to hear whether any Americans have actually heard of it or seen it?
