Updated on June 26, 2020

Staying At Home

Staying at home can be very challenging. You must take care of the house and the children. However, there are plenty of opportunities that a stay at home mother can do to make extra income. Don't settle for just being at home with your little ones make some money doing it. Below are a few opportunities a stay at home mother can do to make extra income.

Writing, Blogging, Freelancing

This one I put at the top of the list because it is the most easiest and you do not need money to start doing it. All you need is a computer or laptop and an internet connection. There are plenty of websites looking for people to write articles and blogs for them. There are freelancing sites that have a variety of options that suites your skills and needs. Don't be afraid of Google, because Google is your friend. To be a good writer all you need is creative ideas and a passion for it. There are plenty of websites that pay you to do these things write, blog, and so much more.

Sewing and Weaving

If you are a creative person who loved to craft things then this may the right business for you. Why not get paid to do what you love to do? All you need is a sewing machine and fabric to get started. There are plenty of sites to sell your crafts on. Also, there are flea markets and you can even have garage sales to sell your creative items.

Baking and Cooking

If you love to be in the kitchen and love to try making new foods then this is something that you may want to try. This doesn't cost a big amount of money to start up as you are using your own kitchen. You will need to purchase ingredients for receipts that you will like to make. Trying different receipts will give you a niche on what you want. By adding your own flavor to them you can see if they taste good or not. This is also good for when your child/children are having a bake sale at their school. That is the best time to show off your talents. Don't be shy. Evening going to the school and asking to sale your baked goods at school events is an option. Baking is something that kids love to do also, so why not include them in the fun. Let them help you stir or add the ingredients. It will keep them busy and occupied.

Book Keeping

If you are good with numbers, organized, and self sufficient then this may be a great opportunity for you. If you are good with excel and spreadsheets then this is also the talent for you. As book keeping involves using a lot of spreadsheets to import all the numbers needed for a business. As long as you are just doing the book keeping part and not the accounting then you don't need a certificate or degree. If you venture into also doing the accounting part of it than you will need these things as most businesses will not hire without it.

Photographing

If you are like looking at taking pictures than this is probably the business for you. This is for you if you like to capture memories or the beauty in your surroundings. Find the best equipment you can find. Having good equipment will make your photos go a long way. You want to make sure what you want to photograph such as: weddings, party's, babies, children, couples, and etc.

Some Ideas

These were just some of the many ideas that stay at home moms can do to earn extra cash staying home with their kiddos. Don't let your talents go to waste, because you want to stay home with your child/children. Do something about them, and live your life.
