In the past two weeks, I have lost a total of almost 5 days' Internet access due to what my ISP tell me are ongoing problems in my area, caused initially by flooding. I am just back online about an hour ago after circa 18 hours offline. I have asked them if my bill will be reduced accordingly this month - you can probably imagine the response... I know I could go to trading standards and formalise a complaint but do you have any tips for getting some sort of concession out of them without going down this road? I have actually lost work (thus income) from these problems.
