   I am both a small business owner, and had 30 years experience in a large corporation prior to owning my own, managing over 50 employees, some supervisors, who had employees under them.
   
   I have also been a volunteer Coach, adults and youth for over 30 years.
   
   It is important to know that physical violence can and does occur, so in reading this, please understand that violence of any type, should be AVOIDED at all costs, other than situations where life or serious property damage is likely to occur before law enforcement or security can be summoned.
   
   While pride and ego are real problems in dealing with bullish actions, it has to be understood that no matter of name calling or taunting from peers by walking away, is worth the chance of physical violence.
   
   My Brother was attacked in a Road Rage incident several years back. He had his teenage son in the back seat, and by instinct got out of his vehicle, when it was blocked by the assailant, to keep his son as far away from this attacker as possible.
   
   An adult is not going to take candy from another adult [well not the best example, they may well] but my point is they are more likely to bully in such things as fear in the workplace, fear in the neighborhood, fear on the roadway.
   
   A child will bully on the playground, in the school hallway and on sidewalks, but there is a close comparison in all examples.
   
   This is a long and complex issue, but the question was the difference,and again, nothing is the answer.
   
   But please realize if you stand up to a bully, most will not want to deal with you, and move on, as most are cowards when confronted, however that is generally never the correct action.
   
   Please deal with it at the soonest and most appropriate time, do not let it continue, but we have teachers, and we have law enforcement to handle these cases in a safe and correct fashion.
   
   Leaving a threatening situation does not make anyone a sissy or other silly name, it only shows maturity, knowledge and self control.
