The youth of our nation continue to declare their independence by doing the exact opposite of what is expected of them. Often times this manifests itself in a recent high school graduate not pursuing a college education in a desperate attempt to establish independence. Not everyone is interested in careers that require a college degree. If you like hair and makeup and have an artistic flair, why not go into cosmetology? It's something that will always be needed (hair doesn't stop growing just becuase the economy is bad) and it's a career in which you can start your own successful business. I say go for it!
