Do you think it is better to be a stay at home mom or go back to work?
Which do you prefer? I run a work at home website for moms (http://www.mommygaga.net) and I just wanted to get your input on the whole subject.
Half and Half.
When I have a kid, I would love to spend time with him/her and have all those special bonding moments but I would also like to work 2 or 2.5 days a week as I enjoy my career.
It sort of gives some balance.
I think there is nothing more precious than a child and when you have one your child should be your first priority. He or she needs his mom with him and there is nothing that can replace that. If you are not willing to give up your career or wait till they are in school and work those hours then you ought to wait to have a child until you are.
I am delighted that my wife has chosen to stay at home with our children. As their are still 7 under our care its really not feasible to do anything else, but the importance of her nurturing and influence would have her at home even if we had but one child.

Is there a stigma to being a stay at home mom?Heard some of this on talk radio (bad for my health I know but I'm addicted) yesterday. Does being a stay at home mom imply to others that you are somehow less intellectual than a working mother? If so why?
