How can I get an entry level job in accounting while I'm earning my degree?
If I have a 4.0 GPA in my senior year, and still can't get an internship, what can I do to make myself more appealing to employers? Help, the frustration is really building and I could use some ideas.
Many of the Big 4 tend to visit large universities to speak to prospective employees - find out if they visit your college and attend and network. While most of the Big 4 aren't hiring at the moment, they are keen to get the best future talent.
Go to their websites, find their job section - there's usually some information on internships. Try and attend any seminars held by the accountancy firms in your local area and introduce yourself to the speakers.
It's not a great time for being hired - but if you're 4.0 GPA and you are learning accountancy then they will pick you up at some point....
