Let's say I want to start an internet business selling tools, like carpenter's tools.
Do you think it is a good idea to build a Website with lots of information about crafts, how to build a wooden boat, do it yourself simple furniture, etc. And when people start visiting my website I cross-sell the tools I planned to sell.
Yes, maybe. Use Google Adwords Keyword tool to see what the search volume is for various keywords centered around either the projects/crafts or the tools and then build a site around that.
Check out http://thekeywordacademy.com/ for more info on how to do the research.
It is not so easy, you are trying to make a site from people who may already have the tools
Be more specific then and say complete site for building xyz and all the tools required for the job plus some assistance in the form of xyz
Do not waste energy on beating around the bush, if your site is selling sell first and give the benefits from buying from you later
A site containing how to articles on carpentry is a great idea and placing links to required items in your shop would be a great way to sell them. You should also look at the pro market as joiners are always looking for tools at good prices.
Thats a good idea but the thing is many should read your website, so to start with it you should have to be good in advertising your website,
Yes, I think it is a good idea, make sure the keyword you choose has plenty search and people are interested in buying this type of products. Good luck.
Find this idea good. The world is change to a "ready-made" market in all aspects.
Wish you all the best for this. Start a website as soon as possible. It will be an asset for you for all the life time.
