How would feel about the government liquidating BP, selling its assets, and using the money to...
stop the leak and help the residents of the Gulf Coast?
So I must ask, do you think the reason the leak is still going is because someone (BP or Gov't) is lacking in funds?
As much as everyone detest BP right now (me as well), according to Yahoo Finance, they do employ over 83,000 people and that is not taking in consideration the many gas franchise stations and their employee's.
I don't want BP to close (because of the impact it would have on the economy) but I do want them to get this FIXED ASAP!
Dawn Austin, I'm just scared that BP will be sold to Exxon and nobody but the shareholders and board members will see that money. The people in the Gulf deserve it. I think the military could nuke the well. The Russians agreed they'd help us (they've done it 5 times before). I don't suggest this to help the plugging effort, per se, but it could aid in that effort to if BP is attempting to salvage their profits by collecting the oil rather than stopping it.
I'm probably wrong and paranoid. I'd like to see debate on it, however.

After the airing of the MSNBC tapes of Timothy McVeigh's confessions, Rush spouted off the proposal that America celebrate a David Koresh memorial day. I'll assume he was being facetious, but like McVeigh, militia...
