How come all the jobs are at the other end of town?

On my way to work, all the people on the other end of town are heading to where I live to work.  Why do we all live on the wrong side of town?

    It's a conspiracy, man.

The government did it to piss us off.

It's a subliminal message trying to tell everyone they need to move to help stimulate the real estate market.

What you have to to is to pretend, when applying, that you live on the other side of town.

But seriously, when I was in the commuting world, I often wondered why all those people passing in opposite directions didn't swap jobs.

Now, with the internet, wouldn't that be a good website -- "Job Swap"?
