Should Employers Have A Right To Charge You A Fee For Obtaining Your Credit Report?
Just like some airlines are now charging people for carry on luggage; employers are jumping in on the band wagon seeking to charge you the consumer, better known as the yet to be hired a fee for obtaining your credit report.
Not only would I not take the interview process further, but I would definitely shy away from any other employers proposing the same tactics.
Your credit rating should have nothing to do with them at all and if they insist upon having the report, they should damned well pay for it themselves.
I'm not absolutely positive, but I am fairly sure that they can't charge you for this. It would be the same as charging you for a required pre-employment drug test.

Why are employers asking such stupid questions in there Job Applications and generally requiring volumes of information for a $8 an hour job?
