What are the marketing strategies to stay away from?
There are so many marketing methods to use and some are just ineffective. Which ones do you find are a waste of time?
Social bookmarking, sending email to unknown contacts(who haven't subscribed themselves to your list.)
From personal experience, being on the receiving end, I think one should stay away from spamming the comment sections of succesful blogs and websites.
Nothing is worse than having to spend time deleting comments from spammers who are only there to try to establish back-links from your hard earned page rank to their crappy website.
I would Stay Away from Traffic Exchanges. Think of it this way its like going to an open mic night waiting to play guitar, the place is full but each one just looking for their turn to play and sing!
@Smaridge01 I have gone from getting endless spam comments to zero with the anti-spam plugin. It's awesome!
@Fotographer @Right On Time spamming people with emails is just not cool. I don't understand why do it.
@tompaige I agree, traffic exchanges are completely useless. You get some clicks to your site, big deal. They are from people who are desperate. They are not buyers, they are not interested in your content or you. They just don’t know any better.
It’s like buying traffic, really, just with your time.
I personally hate safelists. Has anyone ever seen any results with them?
