what should one do when seeking for a job and have bad credit
Depends on the job. But typically, ignore that fact that you have bad credit until they make an issue of it. Which is unlikely.
The only time bad credit is going to effect your job search is if you're applying for a management position, or any position that involves handling money.
The "logic", if there is any being employed here, is that a person with bad financial history is twice as likely to steal from the company than someone who has all of their bills squared away.
Personally I think it's just another form of legalized discrimination, but no one asked me that.
