Not sure what the question is. Toronto is a great city to live but you have to accept it's a rat race and fit in.
Montreal will feel different and a neat place to visit. Don't forget to go to Quebec City too.

I'd have to go with the waterfront in Toronto Canada, except for winter. It is where musicians, artists, venders all gather and eat lots of hot dogs.That or Sneaky Dee's pub uptown
