has anyone ever bought a website rather than made their own from scratch? Any tips?
Im thinking of expanding my web portfolio but rather than start from scratch im considering buying an already established website from somewhere like flippa.com.
interested to hear any thoughts from experienced hubbers!
i would suggest you to directly contact with the owner. On sites which are specially made to buy or sell websites you will need to pay high rates and also not direct contact with the owner.First of all choose that what type site you want to buy then find established websites in that field which should come in your budget.Find information of owner on that site itself or on whois.sc and contact him. This way you can buy sites in less rates. As much i know peoples who have sites which are making good profit they don't go to sell their sites on website selling sites.
i think buying an established website is better than building from scratch. why? here's some of the advantages of established website:
1. it has already traffic. established websites has already gained authority from search engines and lot of people visit it
2. it has backlinks - backlinks are essential for a website or blog. you don't need to spend more time building backlinks from the stat, instead you can continue to creating backlinks for your site
3. earning potential - established websites are already earning just before you buy it
hope that helps :-)
