After Chevy only sold 194 Chevy Volts, Do you think Americans have given up on electric cars?
I don't think Americans in general were ever in favor of all electric cars. They were not convinced they would work or that an infrastructure would be in place to make it viable. Plus the prospect of hydrogen and other fuels seems to be more promising.
The main problem with electric cars is that Americans know that the electricity has to come from somewhere and that means more electric generation plants will need to be built if electric cars were to become mainstream.
