Being a mom! I have worked outside the home for years doing various jobs, but I can truly say that being a mom has been the most satisfying and meaningful "job" I've ever done. The pay is lousy, and sometimes you have to go for long periods without praise, but nothing else compares to the emotional "perks"!
The best job I ever had was working in a small community college's library. Many, many days I was the only one working there and not only was I the sole employee, but there were many days where no one even came in. Once my shelving was done and the stacks straightened, all I had to do was read and write.
I worked at a TCBY frozen yogurt store when I was in high school. It was the best. All the frozen yogurt and toppings I could eat. Those were the days.
