First check or update your Monster.com account. Some employers do not update those openings, so you might end up calling them and getting into unusual arguments. Depending of your State, the chances are limited for now. Employers rather wait for the next cycle, in order to save money in payrolling and end of year revenues. I know people that had to relocate and you should insist more on your follow ups. I'm guessing you're in the US not the UK so I can't comment on legal aspects (it's illegal to discriminate on the basis of age in the UK, that's not to say it doesn't happen...).
So, focus on your skills and what you can offer an employer. A lot of employers mistakenly think they want "bright youngsters" when the reality is they'll probably only stay for a couple of years whereas, statistically speaking, over 40s/ 50s will stay for longer giving more stability to teams.
I'd suggest a skills based CV/ resume so you can sell a potential employer on your skills and help get your foot in the door.
