There are many options to make money as a stay-at-home mom.

Writing Hubs is a great way to start, of course. It will provide residual income.

You can also freelance write, be a Google rater, and answers questions for money or ad revenue.

You could make crafts and sell them on Etsy, or sell baby clothes your kids no longer wear on eBay.

Write some hubs about subjects that interest you and, if possible, are a bit commercial. Jot down:-

    6 passions,
    6 fears,
    6 problems,
6 of your best buys in the last year
6 topics you would like to learn more about.

You now have 30 ideas for hubs. For each of these ideas you either already have knowledge or you have the enthusiasm to research them.

Follow the advice on here (use the search facility) on how to:-

    - Maximize your hub score
    - Target keyword phrases
    - SEO you hub
    - Use social media to promote your hubs
    - Make the most of all opportunities (Ad Program, Adsense, Amazon & e-bay)

Don't spend more than 3 hours doing all of the above. The biggest mistake that most people make (including me!) is postponing perfection- waiting until we have perfect knowledge before actually doing something. The best way to learn about making money on the internet is by just doing it and seeing what works.

So then just do it! Set yourself a realistic target, challenging but achievable. For example one hub per day. You might hope to make $1 per month for each hub published.

When you start to see money coming in, you need to decide- shall I stick with writing more hubs or perhaps set up my own website(s)? Bit that's another question!

    Based on my own experience:

    - I think one of the most popular ways of generating some income from home is selling through eBay and Amazon.
These places provide you with ready traffic of millions of daily visitors.
Decide what products you would like to sell, basing it on your own interests will be great as you will enjoy it more (but do your research).
You can source your products from wholesalers or manufacturers for best profit margin.
Personally, I have always been interested in selling on these 2 platforms because I knew I didn't have to worry about the marketing part, market was already there.
I tried selling various different things, but I always wanted to sell unique products, so I decided to use public domain products (copyright free books etc.) and repackage them into CD/DVD compilations. This is what I'm still 'perfecting'. My cost is almost zero, apart from time spent in the product creation and the listing cost.

    - Or you could start blogging if you like writing. Set up blogs on topics that interest you and monetize them by adding affiliate links and Google Adsense.

    - Buying second-hand books from charity shops and car boot sales and selling them on Amazon is also of a great interest to many people.

    - You could offer 'Internet Research' services to Copywriters. Their main problem is often time, therefore they need people who can research the topic for them. You could do this via websites like Elance.com

    - You could also write ebooks and sell via Amazon Kindle store.

For all these options there are various business blueprints out there to help you started.
Anything you decide to do will require time and dedication. I don't know of any 'real' work from home that would make anyone money quickly.

    * Watch other parents' children on high demand and well paying dates like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and New Year's Eve as well as during the Christmas season. You'll make several times the standard childcare rate without committing to keeping other children full time.
    * Get paid to run errands, such as picking up other kids from school and watching them for one to two hours until their parents pick them up or taking the elderly to the grocery store once a week.
    * Work for anyone selling services or goods to the school.

I have found a really great site that teaches you how to make websites and how to make money from them.

I have never come across a site that so clearly explains exactly how to make a successful website.

It is the only website I would recommend to a beginner.

You can earn money by promoting the site online.

You can find a link to the site on my profile page.
