Which option do you think is the best?
I require some wisdom. Which option is the best?
1) Go back to school and pray for a tenure track as a professor and incur more student loan debt.
2) Stick with my nonprofit job and work another 7years to have my current student loan forgiven.
3) Keep looking for another job--I have been applying for jobs for 2 years.
Please help. Thanks.
It's very hard to answer a question like this because I'm not in your shoes and I haven't experienced everything that you have experienced.
What I can tell you is that when I'm faced with such a challenge, I will sit quietly each day, thinking about the options at hand, waiting to see if I hear my "inner voice" at all. My intuition is usually a good indicator for me. Sometimes I need to do this for quite awhile (days, weeks, or maybe months) before I get a clear answer.
The best advice I ever got was from a dear friend who warned me to never take action if there is doubt within me. When we make decisions and things don't go the way we think they should, we assume we made the wrong decision. That may not be accurate. I wrote a hub called "Decisions Lead To Action" about this very thing.
I wish you well in whatever choice you make. You will be okay no matter what. We learn from every experience - some lessons are just harder to learn than others.
Blessings to you.
Only you can decide that. If you want to take a gamble then thats up to you. Noone can tell you what to do. Do what you want to do.
I like the option of you working and PAYING off your debts. It's a new idea called personal responsibility combined with integrety.
That is precisely what I am currently doing--working and paying off the debts for over 14 years. Thank you for the refresher on integrity.

How do you feel when someone has chosen the Best Answer to his own question? Before the option of choosing the best answer was introduced, I felt that all answers are important and interesting because the mystery of what author of the question thought made it open for thought. Now, every time...
