We must acknowledge his greatness. An iconic figure such as this man, who from his youth has helped to build Apple Inc to the the great company that it is, deserves to be recognized as a great man. One does not have to be this great, to be considered a great man. Less successful men and women have achieved the status of greatness.
If you read the biography by Walter Isaacson, you will agree that Jobs was a genius and that we would not have made the technological leaps we have made in the last ten years without the contributions from Apple. You will discover that while he did not do it alone, he was the driving force behind the marriage of technology and usability (not necessarily functionality) and that Apple's rise to the top forced other companies to rethink their approach to consumer electronics. You'll also discover that he was a real tool, but that does not make him any less of a great man.
