To Conservatives  and Moderates, even moderate Liberals out there, why is there an increased

demonization and denigration of the United States by the Left and other extreme Liberals in terms of the American fabric including the socioeconomic and the sociopolitical sphere? Why is the Left and extreme Liberals fond of minimizing America and its greatness, making anything that is American bad, wicked, even evil?

I have found that these people are essentially Marxists, although many may not know how to spell the world. They are a throw back to the hippies of the 1960's that I used to put in jail. They are people who, basically, have no sense of sefl-worth, who eek out a purpose for their lives by telling everyone else how bad they are, without ever providing a solution. These are non-achievers, lazy people who wish to blame the rest of us for their inabilities. They possess an enormous amount of greed and, as the jack booted thug will hide behind some altruistic notion of social justice to steal whatever is possible. These are people who have never thought past holding hands and singing camp fire songs, never to understand that only under American freedom would they be allowed to do that.
These are people,  who in their inability to achieve, or to possess any form of self responsibility wish to control others, to force others into a conformity of subservience. They cry for peace and fairness, equality for all, a world where obedience to the government is the only purpose, a world where 2+2 is 5 because the government says it is. A world where New Speak is the new language and values are defined by the government.
These are the thought thugs, the mind and word police,  they are the new Gestapo, the minions of obedience to the new secular god of Marxism.
The motto, the cry of unity, "Something for nothing"  is their battle cry, Deceit is their transparency, to lie is the mantra..The objective is to destroy America

As written we can through our history books read of the many lives lost global ,innocent people killed on either side of the planet, nuclear war to kill more lives all because one wants to prove Who is greater. There is no greatness in the loss of life

I have noticed that since the 1960's (and overpopulation) people do tend to think that they should get everything without producing anything. Children won't apply themselves in school, they don't seem to have any sort of good work ethic.

To Austinstar what  seems to you is your opinion and right to believe as you wish, But  the world was in it's destructive mode before I was born. And has only escalated to worser conditions with out my help. the News proves it!

The civil society and requisite civil social order have been steadily dismantled and replaced with a fantasy of Utopia. It has nothing to do with another great fantasy, overpopulation.

I am really neutral in all politics , but what I do find In your is statement truth of the power that is given how the Government receives it power.  Reference Bible 1Jo 5:19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.
    Also take a good look  Reference Bible Lu 4:5 So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time;
Reference Bible Lu 4:6 and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it.
All Earthly Governments is control by Satan at this time, The people who sit in those positions of Government satan gave to who he wish as he tried with Jesus.
The point here is that your statement is correct.
This explains the wackiness , Crime, injustice, the unbalance of the poor and the rich, sickness.
His rulership is about over. We will see the conclusion.

kiss--There are many ways to avoid responsibility. Many ways to say, I am nothing, I mean nothing, my life is without purpose and I possess no strength, no integrity, no character. You say it very well.

From your point of view . That is your right to believe what you wish.
It does not change the truth of the condition of the world which speaks for itself. And that is not good since man has run Government under a bad spirit.

Kiss - It seems to me that all religions look for a scapegoat to blame their own failings on. Satan is your scapegoat apparently. Too bad you won't be part of the solution to making our world a better place. Only your God can fix things, right?

If you were to walk up on a heated fight ,maybe to assaults ,would you join in not knowing all the facts and truth about what started it . Or would you as a good person of peace be neutral because that is a choice. Would you be wrong to join either

I don't think there is a such thing as a true American "lefty". Those who are leftist will sell out in a minute for a book deal or a timeslot (look at Rush Limbaugh). I don't think the US is a bad country. It certainly has no "greatness" though. Its citizens are pretty fat, ignorant and racist (we were the last industrialized country to give up slavery and that took a civil war). We're money people. The sooner we embrace that fact and stop trying to justify our "goodness", the more likeable we will be.

Old--You seem to be a very good example of the decline of America, as one who is void of all that is relevant and one who embraces a naive and weak character, singularly absent personal strength.

To CJsinger your replies reflect judgement on people you do not really know. Your replies do not show you as a person of peace. But a one of war. We have enough of that now and through history That has never solved anything but hate and lost of  life

It may be true of your experience . But I have never known happiness to come from destroying life,I have never known peace to come from it. I have never known love to come from it .and I mean global.Like high School rivalries ,but a student is a life

Kiss--Judging from your chosen name and your altruism your position is understood. I would suggest a reading of '1984'. At your age our thoughts were similar, but reality demands otherwise and peace is defined by the victor.

To CJS my name is based on poetry beginning here on hub pages ,I started out in poetry. But I find more value in words that will give power ,words of a living truth we can all use. I am not a paid writer. But I do love people and happily share truth.

The truth is about love. We are to love our neighbor as ourself, there is no love in taking life based on dispute of power, no matter what country it is. When 911 happened people's all  pulled together out of love to save life . Not take it.

People are sheep.  Many tend to follow popular sentiment rather than thinking for themselves.  Negativity is contagious.  I thought I was more half and half when it comes to where I stand, but I wanted to do a little more research tonight and found this site.  http://www.studentnewsdaily.com/conserv … l-beliefs/  I realized that I align myself with 67% conservative beliefs and 33% liberal.  I did the math.  I like percentages.

Anyway, as I was saying negativity is contagious.  Many people do not delve into all the issues and would rather mimic what their parents or friends or popular opinion say.  I know I love people and want all of us to get along, be treated fairly, and have equal rights.  And I've been called a bleeding heart, liberal, hippie flower child, idealistic, tree hugger.  In my professional world, it is a daily struggle to not go with the flow and join the negative teachers who flood my day with their anti-student mentalities.  Their negativity is a disease and I have to immunize myself against joining their ranks.  In this same way, I think liberals hear so much Anti-American sentiment that it becomes inculcated into their own speech.  And since people are sheep, they start bleating the calls they're hearing from their herd.

I am so grateful for the freedoms we have in America, but I don't always believe that our government or people make the right choices in where they want to take our nation.

I also think political correctness has reared its ugly head so much that identifying as "proud to be an American" is no longer correct.
