I am reading hubs that appear to be advertisements and not information sharing is that appropriate?
I have read two hubs in the last two days that are not very informative in regards to sharing personal knowledge or expertise. These hubs read more like advertisements for a service rahter than a learning or knowledge gaining tool. Am I wrong? Is this type of writing appropriate for hubpages?
I got shocked as well.
I found out lots of Ad-Hubs, Ive been voting down. But ill keep an eye on this question to see if someone answers it.
This is more likely question for the HubPages staff. I have seen such hubs and I have also voted down. It is possible these hub disappear after some time -- I have referred over 100 writers to Hubpages and noticed that most of the hubs published by these newbies disappear in a few days after the publishing.
I wrote this question after hearing that debt collectors were utilizing social networks to target debtors and the people on their "friends" lists. They are also requesting to be a "friend" and utilizing the "friend" status to gather personal information. It is possible that hubpages is being utilized in the same manner as a means to gather personal information.
