What is the most effective site for marketing your websites or writings?
There are several. For maximum exposure, you should try very high visibility sites like Technorati, Examiner.com, and Engadget if you can write to the requisite level. Any article there will get thousands of pageviews per day. Next, Squidoo, Hubpages and Suite101. An article sent into Ezinearticles certainly wouldn't hurt, either.
Thank you for that...but what I meant was what sites like "Stumble Upon" or "She told me" for back-linking, I just wanted to make sure I covered all my bases when marking something.
I do web marketing for a living and I can't say there's any one single site that's going to bring in the traffic you want. Try to think of web marketing like fishing, you want to cast a big net to catch the most fish.
You will have those sites that bring in more than others but that's going to be different from client to client. Marketing is adaptive. You try an avenue, gauge your success, change your methods accordingly, and explore other avenues.
