How should I start my own business?
I tried to start a business but I failed.
Very broad question. Some steps to begin with
Decide what product or service you really want to sell.
Determine if there is a market for it
Decide what your target market is
Research what you can charge for your services
Be clear on what value you are offering customers
Determine what you "brand" is (how are you different from your competitors)
Then market, then produce good work or sell good products rinse, repeat
Of course you will have do such other things such as register a business, make a business plan, decide how much time/money you have to invest.
Simple. Sometimes, not easy. :-)
Any business begins with research, a lot of research. You have to know your market, your product, your competition, your financials, your production and fulfillment, marketing, and your supply chain just to name a few.
Most business fail from lack of planning and lack of finances.
Write a business plan, write a business plan, and write a business plan.

I am looking to start my own business in India, yet to come up with ideas or venture.I am looking to start and run a business on my own. Will gladly welcome ideas and suggestions from this wonderful site. I prefer being on my own rather than a franchisee. Can my fellow hubbers respond please?

If you had to start your own business, what would you choose to sell and why?Would you opt for a product, or products that were general, or would you find yourself a niche market, or maybe invent something new?
