Have you ever created your own brochures?
What did you use them for: business, hobby, or some club activity? What did you brochure look like? How much did it cost to produce for 100? 500? 1000?
Yes. Many times. My brochure looked good. Not professional print quality, but good enough that it didn't look dumb. The only cost was paper and printer ink.
I made a few fun ones when I first discovered Microsoft Publisher. I made all sorts of cool stuff. I plan on making some this next fall for my university's anime club.
Publisher is a good program - very user friendly!
I used to produce them in Publisher too when I worked. As a general rule, we found that it was more cost effective to print copies over 100 at the local printer.
nochance, creatmyeconomy, and lipnancy,
Thanks so much for answering. This is very helpful.
I work in marketing and have printed my own brouchures plenty of times. Depending on what you need them for, the cost can vary greatly. If it's for personal use or something small like a church cookout, just build them yourself in Word and print them through your own computer for free. If you need them professionally done (for instance, promoting a new business), hire a freelance graphic designer to do it for 100 bucks and then call around to a bunch of print shops to get quotes. The prices will change based on paper and the amount of color you use. The cheapest option for 100 prints should be minimal.
