Is it harder to start your own business now than it was 50 years ago?
Absolutely not. Anybody can start a business. You can start a business on Etsy for very little. It's just a small fee per listing and you're set. I have a cousin who recently started an etsy store where she makes rock jewelry (it's beautiful). She's a stay at home mom with three kids. It allows her to generate some extra income. There are many people who become successful with an etsy store.
It is easy to start a business especially if you are good at Facebook, Twitter and other social media. I am making a living doing social media projects on SocialSkyline.com
The opportunity was not there 50 years ago, but the internet has opened up ways to become millionaires with patience and perseverance.
Sites like Social Skyline are helping people become self employed doing what they love on Facebook and Twitter.
