    How does AdWords work?

I'm a little bit lost with this, and I'm looking for some help with AdWords, and learning how to drive more traffic to my site.  Help!

First of all, Do you have your own Web site? Ad words will not work on HubPages. Not trying to insult your intelligence at all. You just sign up and you will get a free trial. Then you have to pay for Ad Words. They will place ads on your website to match your material.

AdWords is what backs Adsense. AdWords is where you sign up for an account and select keywords you want ads YOU create to display where, when, and for how much. These are essentially the steps you would have to do to use AdWords to drive traffic to your site:

    1. Have a website
    2. Make an AdWords account
    3. Select Keywords for your ad
    4. Create a text ad, flash ad, or image ad
    5. Select what times you want the ad to run
    6. Select the amount your willing to pay for click/daily
    7. Enjoy your traffic as adsense deploys your ads on all websites adsense enabled that use your keywords (the amount depends on your overall position on price per click).

    Hope that helps,
