    How much can you earn in uk before you have to pay ni and tax ?

    my daughter can't get a full time job offer and has managed to secure casual work with lots of different of horse yards. only a few hours per week at each one. total about 25 hours. she is charging £10 per hour so hopes to bring home about £250 cash per week. she is currently not self employed, just between jobe. what does she have to do or can she continue like this few the next few months ? thanks for reading and look forward to all sensible answers

    I own a limited company, so as a director, I pay myself a base salary of  £620 per calendar month. This is low enough to avoid personal income tax and NI but high enough to still be contributing to the NI pot. Any other income I take out of the business as dividends (after corporation tax has been paid).

    I'm not an accountant, and would advise you or your daughter to speak to one if you want some advice on how to set her up to be as tax efficient as possible.
