Is the US Stock Market really a source of capital formation or a giant ponzi scheme?
Yes, you can build capital through the Stock Market - and I'm not talking about a few bucks here and there, I'm talking about serious money, but it takes time and know how. People who think they can hop on eTrade, or some such site, and make a fortune are basically just playing the lottery; some will make a decent return, but most will eventually lose both money and interest.
If you're interested in getting into the Market, I'd look for a brokerage firm in your area and go in and talk to them.
