Is modern human bondage a good thing? If not why does good people allow it to exist?
The Emancipation Proclamation was a joke. It is not worth the paper it is written on. Human Trafficking is a multi-billion dollar industry. America has more citizens in jail than any country in the world even as violent crime has declined or remained flatlined for the last 10 years. America's private prison industry, the Prison Industrial Complex is a multi-million dollar industry. Private Enterprise is central to the continued evolution of moden slavery. And the 13th. Amendment protects slavery if you can tie crime to it. Do you think modern human bondage is OK or not?
Not quite sure what you are trying to say but if it is criminals shouldn't be locked up for the safety of society what should we do with them?
Total eradication of bondage is nothing but salvation. Not practical. Where survival and dependence is the basic need, some form of bondage will always exist. We are bonded to our job despite being very unhappy with the boss because we need to run a family and repay our loans.
We are bonded to family despite our dislike towards our spouse, because we want to ensure a protected family for our children.
We can cite several such examples.
