A lot of hard work and effort. It's not just about the professional attitude. It's about making it for yourself and those you provide for.
It's a huge commitment and sacrifice. Early to rise, late to bed. Going the extra mile. Staying focused. Keeping your goal in mind every decision you make. You are your own boss, and with it comes everything else.
It takes a whole lot of patience and perseverance to be a business woman. Most have families and extended families. Perseverance because you sometime have to be receptionist, mail clerk, marketer, human resource person, janitor and secretary. I have my own office and I have to be all of the above.
Patience because you have to deal with all types of clients. Some know what they want but most only know what they don't want. Some are easy to work with while others will give you Hell. They expect miracles with just a little investment and they want it yesterday!
Strength. There are still people who think a woman's place is just in the kitchen. Therefore, you must prove these people wrong. Show them that you have the courage, strength, and brains to do just as good of a job as them - possibly even better.
