BOB BAUER is the husband of outgoing White House communications director ANITA DUNN who is disgraceful for saying that MAO ZEDONG was her favorite philosopher. She ,ay as well have said ADOLF HITLER because this is who Mao represented in China. This is the latest controversial move by the Obama White House.

You know what ticks me off about this whole ordeal? It is the fact that this woman, no matter what or who she is, has worked hard to get where she has gotten too.  She is the same woman appointed by this White House Admin., who has had this belief for years now; but now it suppose to change how we (or them) feel about her?  This is America, damn it!  She's entitled to believe what she will.  She's entitle to admire who she wants.  She has made it this far off her work ethic.  That's the only thing that should be put into judgment here.  It is ridiculous to judge this woman, based off anything that has to do with this nonsense.

Another thing, my grandmother survived the holocaust.  She is forever branded, and we as family members are branded with her.  As her grandson, with close personal ties to Hitler's regime- NOTHING, I mean NOTHING compares to what that man was able to accomplish and achieve.  I get real sick and tired of people making remarks towards people, and placing them into direct correlation with Hitler.  It's overstated, overworked, and unappreciated.

Hitler- is in a league all of his own.  Remember that will you please, when you start comparing Hitler to Mao or to anyone else. It is tiresome.  And eventually, when people have compared Hitler enough, his crimes against my family(7+ million people killed by his hate) will all but dimension.  Hitler is unlike anyone.  Remember that.

Stalin and Ze-Dong both killed more people than Hitler.

With all due respect for you and your family, Communists killed far more than the Fascists ever did.  Not for lack of trying.  Just about the entire world united to erase Fascism from the world, that's why there is still a remnant of European Jews left.

The names of the people, ideologies, nations don't matter.  What matters is the mindset which allows these atrocities to not only happen in the first place, but which attempt to justify why they happened and how it was a supposedly good thing that it did.  The idea that the ends justify the means is one of the most evil ideas in the history of humanity.

What purpose does this comparison make?  Seriously, I would like to know your thinking and why this was a truly necessary point to make?  What purpose, in the long run does it serve?  Just to prove my "death toll" facts wrong?  What?  I missed your point entirely.

the point is that hitler killed a few jews, but stalin killed a whole ton of mixed religion whatevers. clown

You claim Hitler is in a class all his own.  He is not.  If there is one thing that typified the 20th century, it was the mass slaughter of human beings for political or ideological reasons.

RKHenryposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Yeah he was.  He single handily, turned an entire nation of people against a sect of religious people.

No leader, has EVER had the support of SO MANY Nationalize patrons or citizens, when killing that mass group of people.  NO ONE LEADER, ever.  There is so many different aspects of Hitler, than just killing of the Jews.

But you know, LEF you think Korea is the same as Vietnam- and you and I have been there before.  I'm not interested in arguing silly minded semantics with you.

There is more than Hitler, than his "death toll."

While I don't agree with all of what Mao has written there is some insight and intellect in what he writes.  You can pick and choose what you like but I don't think you can collapse all of his domains without a look.

It still doesn't change the fact that Mao killed more people than Hitler or Stalin.  Uh oh, I used the dreaded H-word in the forums.  Bauer was the fall guy because Obama made the promise that Guantanamo would be closed in a year and it looks like that isn't going to happen now.  Since Bauer wasn't part of the Chicago Mob, he got the ax.

Well I guess you can't separate the subject from the verb.  I merely posted these in response to the reaction some people had to the womens reference of admiring Mao.  If you can't separate the knowledge and the actions then you are doomed to only the acceptable knowledge.  You only get half an education that way.

When someone is as evil as Mao, and causes so much suffering to so many, I don't give two hoots what else he did or said. Half an education? There are plenty of others who said similar things who were actually good people - I'll expand my education through them. Mao can rot in hell.

It isn't about WHO has killed more people.

That is a level of pettiness, I cannot even try to comprehend.

Seriously, you honestly think that's the point?  Really?

Amazing.  The stupid, pettiness seems to have no bounds.  I don't get it.

Killing 1 person, is just as horrible as killing 100 billion people.

If you note, and took the time to read the my post you would have noticed I listed the words, "accomplishment and achieved."

    What Hitler was able.........never mind.

    It's pointless ramble.
    Unbelievable.

I never said it was important who killed people.  You did when you said Hitler was in a class all his own:

I don't care who it was who killed, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, etc.  Nobody should quote then and consider any of them a political mentor for any reason whatsoever.  Their actions forever divorced them from the rest of humanity and should be forever derided as the beasts they proved themselves to be in life.

There is no emotion involved.  You made it about the number of dead people.  I'm arguing that what Hitler was able to accomplish and achieve, with the overwhelming support of his people, is something we haven't seen since.  So if you would like to disagree on that merit of respect, I'm happy to do so.

Fact: Mao killed more than Hitler
Fact: The world media is controlled by Jewish Moguls
Fact: CEO of Time Warner was CEO of Fannie Mac up to July 2008
Fact: Israel is responsible for countless untried war crimes
    Fact: I am not anti-semetic
Fact: The US and its coporate Heads fund wars that are illegal under international law
Fact: Anti-islamic sentiment is excused but the truth about Zion and the Christian church is excused
