Why is my hub being marked as over promotional?
I wrote a review about a freelance website that I worked on, iWriter.com, with pros and cons about it. It's quite positive because I had a positive experience and I give my review about it.
I don't include any affiliate links - just a link to another hub I have with my earnings on freelance websites (including iWriter.com) again without affiliate links.
Yet, Hubpages marked it Over Promotional twice. The hub is purely informative, and just one relevant Amazon capsule.
What can I do about it? What am I doing wrong?
I had an overly promotional hub a while back about DAZ Studio. It's a 3D rendering program that people can download for free. I do think that excessive links will trigger the flag, but when I edited the hub I focused on reducing the amount of times I said 'DAZ Studio' or mentioned anything about going to their site. I also took the time to bring up other 3D rendering programs to point out that it wasn't the only one out there. But, if I had to guess, I would say that the flag is coming from your wording somewhere. See how many times you write the name of the site. Try to talk around it.
Thanks M.T.Dreamer, your advice really helped. I've identified that the problem seems to be the fact that I wrote iWriter.com rather than iWriter, and it was considered text url. I didn't even realize that.
Hubpages also mentioned it only promotes one product, but I'm honestly not promoting with no links bringing me any earnings aside from one amazon capsule, just an informational article. I'll probably have to delete it But it's a shame because I already had positive comments from people finding it useful.

I had 2 links in my hub pointing to different pages of my site and got the following message:Overly Promotional - Solely or excessively promotes another site(s), especially when Hub links all point to one site. This is my first hub and can't understand how many links to your own site you can put and...

Currently, we are allowed 2 text links within a hub for links to our website, blogs, or articles written elsewhere. But, if you don't join the HP Amazon program, do you know that those 2 Amazon text links are not extra ones? If you use 2 amazon links, then you have used up your quota of 2 personal...

A lens of mine that was transferred to HubPages was identified as having too many affiliate links. I cleared out all the links except one affiliate link and one link to Wikipedia. The only other links on the page are all the ads that HubPages loads up the header, footer, and sidebar...

My Hub: Sitting or Standing, The Best Way to Play Your Guitar <snipped link> has been blocked due having too many 'affiliate links'. Yes, the Hub has many links--due in part to having many images--but these are in no way promotional of any thing other than the concept the Hub itself is...

What gives. I had a half dozen buying used cars at auction hubs running for months and suddenly they are all flagged "Needs Revision" due to links, which BTW were links to/from each hub page so the domains in the links were all hubpages.com.So no big deal, I removed all the links and...
