What is a "modern" way of sharing your business cards?
Invaribly, while walking my dog, I meet new people and one topic leads to another and I seem to always trip into talking about my business. (It just works out that way somehow - tee hee). However, I NEVER have my business cards with me and I don't really feel comfortable asking people to do that cell phone sharing thing (even if I knew how to do it). How do you handle this. If you DO give out your business cards, how do you manage to keep them with you all the time whether you're dressed up or in jeans? Help! I need to figure out a way. I wish there card holders for around the neck!
I have purchased several of the business card holders and keep one in my pocket at all times. I also purchased a phone holder that has an interior pocket that will hold several cards as well. If you desire a card holder for the neck, then you can purchase one of the name card holders for plastic cards and place it around the neck. It should hold about 10 cards for you. I also keep many cards in my vehicles at all times so I can retrieve them when necessary.
If you are speaking with another business person, they may also be on linkedin and you can connect that way. Or just tell them you are on linkedin. I have also purchased a quick reference website for my contacts.
Great ideas, tbHistorian! Thank you so much! What do you mean a quick reference website for your contacts? I know some people create business apps with ibuildapp. I did a functional ?app with them. Maybe I'll think about a business app as well.
Billie - my suggestion for a quick reference site for you would be kelpinbme.com
on this site, you would place an icon linked to your email address so that anyone can send you a short note from there.
There are also apps that are specifically for "business cards" and you can send people an email with your card with that app. I would search your store and see what apps they have available, depending on your OS. Good luck!
Dragonflycolor - Thanks for that! I'll check that out
