What is your opinion of Professional Boxing?
I am interested in the pro's and cons.
I've never been interested in boxing. I don't like watching two men fight over money.
In my opinion, the sport of boxing makes no since. Boxing is the only sport (that I know of) that the object to win is to hurt another person. I don’t get up in the morning thinking I am going to be a winner when I hurt someone today. And then there is the probability of losing - which means; if you lose, you have been hurt. It hurts to get hit in the head or the face. What is the since of it? I think people in general avoid situations that cause injury. It is crazy to pay for emergency room visits, let alone pay for medical attention you could have avoided. And in the boxer’s retirement years, they spend their money on doctors. It makes no since.
And …Those pretty ladies all dressed up in the front row…what about the blood that gets splattered all over you? It makes no since.
What if, initially, boxing was the only skill set that gave them discipline to stay off the streets? Thanks for your answer, Tina.
I’m not saying, it shouldn’t be. I am just giving my opinion on something that make so since to me! I can’t understand how hurting someone and being hurt in sport can be a way of discipline. It is more like a way to express agresio Thanks for asking.
It doesn't really interest me but we have a boxing icon in the country, Manny Pacquiao, and every Filipino is a fan. Everything comes to a standstill if he has a fight. Even criminality drops to zero if he is on the ring. I think, his bout with Floyd Mayweather this coming May, will be declared unofficially as a holiday. Everybody will be glued to their tv sets and you can't force a single soul to move. If he wins, it will be a town fiesta from the cities to the smallest barrios. If he loses, well....

What would you do if you saw someone smack a child?Out shopping, I challenged a grandmother who smacked her toddler grandchild alongside me, because he was whingeing. We ended up having a row in the street, which I've never done with anyone before. How would you have acted?

Is it important to you to listen to the opinion of others, even when you disagree?Often we have discussions with others on 'hot topics', on which there may be much disagreement. Is it possible for you to respectfully listen and allow that person to share their viewpoint?

I'm doing some research on a specific songwriter/producer who has written/co-written many Top 40 hits for top performers. Out of these 5 songs, which one is your favorite? These were/are hugely successful songs. [I realize some people don't like Top 40 songs, so you don't have to answer. ]...
