Do you believe that fast food workers should receive better pay, is $15 a fair amount?
Given that most fast food restaurants are owned by large corporations that post obscene profits, and pay their upper management up to 600% more than their workers? Yes, I think it's time for greedy corporations to stop sucking profits out of their businesses, while paying their workers less than a living wage.
And I 100 agree with you....Too many corporations in general, and definitely fast food companies, are getting away with insane rules of operation and just totally abusing their workers in that sense..
I can't imagine working at a fast food restaurant in an expensive city like San Francisco for less than $15. To get to work, you have to deal with the expense of commuting, parking, etc. so it wouldn't be worth it. Perhaps, in a less expensive area like South Dakota, the wage could be less but, anywhere you are, $15 doesn't amount to much. However, I was a lead teacher of a pre- kindergarten class with a credential and a master's degree and only made $14 an hour (had to buy my own supplies, too)!
Yes, there is no doubt that Teachers and Journalists are also some of the worst paid folks as well....
