Is the Management tool of "Divide and Conquer" relevant for the needs of the 21st Century?

If so, why? If not, why? And what would work instead?

It has been relevant since the moment it was first said. If you divide a government against military and it's people, you could watch from afar as they crumble in their own nation. But lately groups like isis are in separate groups ran by separate people, which make it hard to defeat them like that.

That's really interesting about isis mathew. What is your take on how togetherness could be made to happen with people and us in relation to isis?
