How much do you think timing effects people becoming rich?

Many people get rich from inventions and innovations which others have already thought of but haven’t acted on - for various reasons. Many people work very hard but never become rich. To what extent do you think timing influences people become rich?

Most people become rich by avoiding debt, saving and investing over time. The book "The Millionaire Next Door" discusses this in depth.

It's not so much "timing" as having the "ability to see an opportunity"

As a business mentor, I often use the phrase "there's nothing as expensive as a missed opportunity" by way of opening up a client/mentor meetings

So I don't think it's timing but rather:

    - networking all the time
    - being aware all the time
    - knowing your business costings and capacity off the top of your head
    - have the courage to take risks and a leap-of-faith when need arises

And that's the reason for asking questions - to get a look at the question from a completely different angle and perspective.  Thanks John.
