I recently had an auto accident that left me somewhat disabled. disabled in the sence that i can no longer do the work that i was doing when i had my accident.my neck has been fused and even light duty work for any lenth of time causes severe pain.i am looking for a way to make a living that doesn't involve welfare.any suggestions?
I feel for you. I haven't experienced any trauma near to what you're saying though. As far as ways to make a living that don't involve welfare....well, it's infinite. If you're here on hubpages, there is one way. Write well and often with good intent and money will come in. Good luck to you.
Very sorry to hear that you're going through this. Well, is there any option for you to work from home? If not, like the post above me stated, HP would be a great option for you to gain some income by writing good content.
Welcome to HP! All the very best!
Thank you. i am trying HP but how much money can be made by someone like me? i am not very good at writing and am just barely abble to use a computer.
Well, with a bit of determination and devotion, anything can be achieved!

Very few people can make a living just by writing only. It is not easy. You have to consider may be disability. it will be more than welfare and if you cannot work, what else you are supposed to do? When my poor husband had a stroke, I applied for disability for him right away. I knew he is not going to recover,it took me a year, shovelling paperwork between doctors, myself and Ontario Disability, but I managed to do that. You do not despair. Try everything you can!

Do any hubbers spend 40 hours a week (or more) writing and researching hubs? Does the effort pay off if the site is treated like a regular job?

I'm exploring to this whole hub concept... is it really worth all the hassle and uncertainty of writing/working for yourself online or do you think it's better to just get a real brick-and-mortar job?

Not sure if I'm getting this HubPages thing.I write every day, for several hours. Not here, obviously. I've put up 10 hubs so far, on scattered topics, ranging from hubs like poems, to longer blocks of text...
