You can start your own jewelery business from your home. This is a good idea in this period of economic crisis.
You do not need much money to start but customers. If you have customers and ready to spend some time you can do business.
You have to read some for the basic knowledge input and find some sellers. You can buy some stuff with a condition to return if not sold.In this way you can replace your unsold items with new ones.
Find your customers and sale them cheap. There is a lot of margin between retail and wholesale price.
So, what are you looking for?
Where is the information or you can e-mail me ::::::::::::::
What do you mean by "or you can mail me?"
What more info do u need ? Do you want to start ur business or just out of curiosity?
Jyoti, I have owned my own business in the past and did well. I love jewelry and wanted more information on how you could purchase and sell. So if course I was being serious.
Please read some of my hubs about Jewelry that shows how to evaluate and purchase. I have also written some about gems and Jewelry businesses in various Indian cities e.g. Kolkata, Jaipur and Hyderabad. I hope, these will help you.
If you need more info you can visit to site Vardhaman Gems or feel free to mail me.
Thanks for the nice info ...

I too. I am very interested in making jewellery and handicrafts in general. I hope JYOTI KOTHARI will be good enough to post the information here.
Over to you JYOTI KOTHARI.
It depends upon your place, size of business you want etc....
However, you can start with a minimal level say $1000 and gradually grow.
