ioffer buying and selling website

Updated on April 18, 2011

Ioffer Is a great free online auction site, that is based around fixed price and negotiation principles, rather than the auction based ebay style.

It is free to list your items, and you only pay an amount on the selling value of the item.

It has a huge customer base, as is certainly one of the best alternatives to ebay on the internet.

The interface to ioffer is excellent, is comprehensive enough for serious sellers, and easy for buyers to use also. There is lots of web 2.0 features built into the site, including sharing your items for sale, and on twitter.

Ioffer has easy to sell features also, including the option to sell your item using your mobile phone, taking a picture, and sending it with a text to have an item listed instantly.

For really serious sellers there is bulk import via .csv options, but this can be buggy if you have more than a few thousand items to upload.

There is a wide range of everything for sale, and alot of users from around the world use ioffer.

You can pay with a range of options too, including paypal, google checkout (if you live in USA) and also the new amazon payment systems. There are a few other options to pay with also.

Overall is a fast loading and good alternative to ebay, and it has a strong community feel, with one of the best options, which is direct online chat, allowing the buyer and seller to have their questions answered instantly if they are marked as online.

E Bay has become a seller for large retailers. They also protect rip off China sellers.

What ever you do do not buy anything from China on E Bay.

E Bay allows the China sellers keep a high feed back when they screw everybody. I have no idea why. Ernest

I have used Ebay for many years and seen it go from very good to very bad in the terms of selling. It is for the buyer and sellers now are treated as just a way for ebay to make more money and sellers to get less. I will try several other alternative sights. I hope someone comes up with something fare for both the buyer and seller.

Ebay is way to restrictive, to many rules, too many lawyers. I am done with them after 15 years.

I am looking for an alternative selling site other than ebay: I hate ebay.

Ioffer can be wonderful. The products I enjoy. The followup on the shipments is excellent. The only thing is I find I must remember to sign in. eBay is my constant companion and Ioffer I only sign in occasionally. Ioffer is great. I only pay with Paypal - my personal rule.
